Areas affected by mould, algae or fungi should be treated with an appropriate fungicidal wash. Sand down the surface to remove any sheen. Refer to health and safety information. Metal: Remove rust using Hammerite Rust Remover. On new galvanized surfaces, allow to weather for six months before application. New bare wood: To ensure 6 year weather protection is achieved, prepare bare wood with Exterior Preservative Primer+ (BP), wiping off any excess. Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell product. uPVC: Apply direct to clean substrate. TIP: Apply Dulux Multisurface only in dry conditions, above 10°C and when bad weather is not forecast. The use of light colours only, particularly on south facing elevations is recommended to avoid solar heat again damaging the Upvc.
